Overview
Checking the validity of clients transactions. Filling out a variety of forms. Interacting with the internal team, to make sure that the work is on track. Interacting with the client, asking for any supporting evidence and documents.
Skills
I have drastically improved my analytical skills, whilst analyzing variety of clients transactions. Attention to detail is very important for an auditor as spotting errors is crucial to performing your best. I have also developed my excel skills, as this was a software that I mostly used whilst working.
Responsibilities
From the second week of my internship I was given the responsibility to analyze important client transactions like cash cut-offs, and fill out forms.
Support & Guidance
The first week of internship provided us with a lot of training and walkthrough of what working at EY is like. I started my client work from the second week where my team was always there to help me out if I had any problems. I was also appointed a buddy and a counselor which were the first point of help.
Culture
Everyone in EY has been really friendly and helpful. There is a variety of clubs and societies to join to get more involved with the company and get to know more people. Overall the company offers a lot of support and help and you get the chance to improve yourself drastically.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my internship, and wished it was longer. However the month of experience was enough for me to get a feel of what EY and my line of service is like and if I would like to continue on with a graduate scheme.
Yes
