    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I spend a lot of time drafting emails and letter, and creating spreadsheets to help the client engagement for my team.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I have learned how to use the EY platforms that are used within client engagements and have become more familiar with Microsoft Teams. I also feel that I have developed some existing skills such as presentation skills, with having to do a presentation to our counsellors, and communication which is vital to ensure that I am carrying out my tasks correctly.

  • I was given responsibility for reviewing tax computations to ensure that the numbers included were correct. I was also asked to do work by the partners in my team.

  • I was given a buddy and a counsellor to help me throughout my internship. Them and everyone else in my team were very supportive and showed me how to do different tasks required from me.

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • It is a very friendly workplace and everyone welcomed the interns. It was a great atmosphere to work in as it felt very inclusive and I was made to feel like part of the team.
