The Role
It was really intense, but precisely because of its intensity that I've learnt a lot. The diversity of the candidates in the Spring Academy has also added to my enjoyment during the non-assessed segments of the programme.
All the PwC representatives present during the academy were really approachable, and were more than willing to share their insights and thoughts on the organisation, their line of service and their personal work experiences. The organisers of this academy were really helpful in getting the programme flowing and logistics ready at all times.
The organisers frequently gave detailed briefings on the programme for the day, and the assessors in the un-assessed segments gave pertinent and useful feedback for our performances.
The 3-day programme was very packed, and required a lot of mental and physical energy to perform well in all the assessments. The programme of each day started at 8am and ended at 11pm.
We had the opportunity to steer the discussions during the team assessment and presentation preparation, and were all responsible in contributing to the smooth flow of the programme.
The enhanced network of like-minded colleagues and experienced workers in PwC, the improved communication and teamwork skills definitely helped in my self-development. The unconditional offer of a spot in the Summer Internship 2013 after the spring programme also helps in my future career track as well.
The Company
The programme is action-packed, and everyone is bubbling with excitement going into each activity.
There were some minor delays in the execution of the programme (not adhering to the timetable), but it was trivial.
By inviting numerous partners and managers of the firm to take their precious time off their hectic work schedule to come down to the isolated training facility at Chesham and talk to us, it truly illustrates the amount of investment and value placed by the firm on us and it really enhanced our career development by giving us a better idea of what working in PwC will be like.

Company Parties/Events
The uniformed mindset of all PwC employees and the collaborative culture within the firm is very appealing.
The Culture
The networking session with fellow placement students were amazingly fun and everyone was friendly and excited about the programme.
Not applicable, everything was paid for. The resort/rooms were phenomenal.
Not applicable since the event was held in a training resort, but the bar facilitated a good amount of networking at night.
Not applicable, as the programme lasted nearly the whole day anyway.
