Marketing Hardcore Skills: I have developed these skills throughout my placement year. I learned the fundamentals of digital marketing in order to understand and develop digital marketing strategy and analysis. 3. Presentation Skills: Even though I was already used to presenting in front of big crowds, this role required me to take it to the next level. 4. Networking and Social Skills: During this year, I was required to interact with different colleagues and stakeholders in order to complete role-related tasks. 5. I leaded a total of 3 Digital Conferences which brought together Samsung subsidiaries all around Europe and agencies to review the period's performance and strategy for the upcoming one. I was required to manage the agenda and attendance list, put the content together into the master deck and get all necessary approvals for the event to happen. I also got the responsibility of leading and organizing day to day meetings and lead some specific projects by proposing ideas, taking action and providing feedback.
Support & Guidance
On our first week we received a full onboarding session where we learned and got adapted to the culture of the company, its products and the tech we would use at our roles. In addition, I got a role specific onboarding by the previous placement student who introduced me to everything relevant for the role. Finally, I got some introduction courses assigned to get familiar with the basics of Digital Marketing at Samsung
Culture
The general atmosphere was positive as colleagues where always open to support and have conversations. I even got to create strong bonds with a lot of colleagues. Nevertheless, I did struggle to build relationships with Korean colleagues which seemed a bit closed to meeting new people.
