Overview
Role involves liaising with HR Managers and assisting them with different projects. Support the HR team from administrative perspective. Answering employee queries regarding company policies and guidelines. Providing holiday calculation, working closely with shared services and centers of excellence. Excel knowledge required.

Responsibilities
As a HR Intern/placement student I was given lots of responsibility and project ownership handling confidential and important tasks.
Support & Guidance
I received great support from the early careers team and direct managers. However more, structure develop could have been implemented to ensure that wider range of skills were covered.
Culture
GE Aviation is a good company to work for, there are a lot of people interested in getting to know you and willing to spend time imparting their knowledge. However, this will only happen if you seek it and put in the time to network.
Your Impressions
The placement was open enough and allowed me to tailor my experience depending on my interest in the function. It was an eye opening experience to an industry.
