The Role
The PwC Insight Academy was very nicely structured and had a great mix of interesting, 'serious' activities as well as plenty of fun activities!
The other academy candidates as well as the assessors were all very attentive, and I felt that my viewpoints were treated with respect even if others did not agree with me.
There was feedback and guidance given straight after many activities, which was extremely helpful. Also, while not relevant for me, I got the feeling that one could approach the assessors for further support if this was needed.
The days were crammed with many, many activities - while they were all interesting, they were a bit too many for my taste, and I would have preferred to have a little more time to relax and let everything sink in.
I wouldn't say that we were given a lot of responsibility. The activities were designed to test and to push us, not to give us responsibility.
The activities definitely aided in developing my sense of critical sense, self confidence, and ability to speak up - which I am sure will all assist me in my studies and beyond.
The Company
The days were packed with lots of fun activities aimed at making us all bond, e.g. a photo booth equipped with various props, pimms party, etc.
The Academy was very well organized - the activities were well planned out and set out. However, the days almost became a bit too well planned and too tightly packed.
PwC invesed lots of resources in each and every one of us, and provided tailored feedback to help us develop.
Company Parties/Events
I got offered a summer internship!
The Culture
Everyone was very friendly and got along well.
Not really relevant to the Academy, as everything was provided for us.
Not really relevant to the Academy, as we could not leave the Academy venue.
