Overview
my typical job responsibilities involve testing prototypes of our products , Testing for How much aerosol a device makes. Furthermore, I attend regular team meetings discussing project updates and participating in design reviews. I also set up meetings with external companies or other departments internally to discuss how they can assist us in some of my team projects. Furthermore, I spend a lot of time working on presentations which I usually have to give every 2 weeks.
Skills
Yes, I have improved my communication and presenting skills. I have developed my CAD skills and expanded my network.
Responsibilities
yes I was. I was not only working with my team in mechanical engineering, we had extra curricular activities arranged by the placement team such us, poster presentation, CV workshop, inductions from different departments.
Support & Guidance
I got a lot of support from my team and the placement team. Everyone from the company is super friendly and willing to help. I received trainings before accessing any equipment.
Culture
very social environment. Team buildings and Team day outs to encourage team engagement. weekly informal catch ups with different line managers within the team.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my placement throughout. Having lived with other interns made the experience even better.
Yes
I would advice them not to worry about working in a Tobacco company because the work done is to reduce the health impact of the products and help people switch from cigarettes to risk reduced products. They have a very excellent placement scheme that will help develop your soft skills that will help you in your career
