Overview
Role involves the mechanical design and electronic packaging of power and avionics products. Work day to day varies, including design work using Siemens NX, team meetings, hand-on product/prototype assembly, Analysis using Ansys, production of mechanical drawings.
Skills
Siemens NX Ansys Mechanical GD&T Other ‘soft skills’ such as communication, organisation, flexibility, presentation skills etc.
Responsibilities
Yes. Responsible for some elements of the design of real products, and produced drawings for parts which I saw manufactured.
Support & Guidance
Great team. Manager and team really helpful and encouraging to get involved.
Culture
Friendly, supportive, encouraging. General atmosphere quite relaxed, since projects are so big and many people involved there is always people there to ask for support.
