Overview
Assisting in compliance functions such as preparing/submitting VAT returns on behalf of clients. Advisory part to the role included meetings both internally and externally (with clients) to solve VAT related queries as and when they arise.
Skills
I have developed a comprehensive knowledge of the way indirect tax works. Specific in-depth understanding has been made of VAT legislation in the UK.

There was a lot of support and guidance at every stage with a structured support system in place. The teaching of relevant topics for the role was comprehensive and insightful.
Culture
The company culture is one of collaboration with a positive attitude towards personal career development. Everyone in my team was happy to get me involved in as much as possible to broaden my understanding of what the team and wider firm do.
