Overview
I worked in EY's International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS) team. The work was varied and I had the opportunity to experience many different areas of work that the team undertakes. I was involved in drafting MSAs, learning about new tax legislation, and helping the team on client CbCR requirements. Overall, the work has given me insight into EY's Services and how they operate.
Skills
I have developed my presentation skills, as at the end of the internship we were required to present on a prescribed case study. This involved researching, gathering, and formatting data, then presenting our findings before three assessors.
Responsibilities
We were given tasks that did not involve much responsibility. However, they still provided us with a good insight into the sort of work we would be doing if we went on to work at EY.
Support & Guidance
I had an exceptional counsellor. Throughout my time I felt comfortable to bring any concerns I had to him, and he was always been very supportive. I have also had a great buddy who was always ready to support me.
Culture
I found it thoroughly pleasurable meeting EY’s people and learning about their different experiences. My time here has been peppered with insightful coffee catchups and trainings. The general atmosphere is almost always upbeat and people work well together.
Your Impressions
Very much so.
Yes
As EY is a firm that celebrates diversity, I would encourage you to be yourself.
