    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • The first week involved various training which was conducted nationwide. We had sessions focused on learning about the company and its policies, and then moved onto more service line specific training. By the beginning of the second week, we had met a team of people who we would be working with throughout the internship and they had begun setting me tasks I needed to complete. Each morning began with a team meeting where we would discuss the day, and then we would go on to completing the assigned tasks.

I have had to have the confidence to reach out to them and ask for help. I have also expanded my knowledge in excel.

  • Although the information provided tends to be specific to the service line, I have received lots of information from the EY talent team about what the business is like and how it is run. They have made it very clear what pathways the company offers, and that there is an opportunity to grow and move through the company. It was additionally made clear that the company understands that many people move onto different roles once they have the experience, and that EY can offer support to development to help with this.
