Overview
Helping engagement team with tasks and following a learning plan that teaches me the fundamentals of audit and assurance and focuses on my engagement team and client work.
Skills
Yes, I developed patience, time management, listening skills, teamwork skills, excel, attention to detail, problem solving, analytical skills, punctuality, and consistency.
Responsibilities
Obviously, one's responsibility during a four week internship can be very limited, also considering how little knowledge I had at first. However, the team made sure to teach me the fundamentals and slowly but surely, I was taking on more tasks and responsibilities.
Support & Guidance
More than enough. I had a buddy and a counselor and everyone on the engagement team w were always reaching out to me and happy to help whenever I needed it.
Culture
It was a chill environment. It wasn't too strict but I could tell there wasn't any slacking off as well. Everyone was very kind and welcoming.
Your Impressions
I would do it again 100%. Honestly, I'm quite sad it's coming to an end. I grew used to coming in everyday and seeing my team and fellow interns. It gave me a sense of purpose.
Yes
Apply early on and prepare for the video interview and assessment center. Also, be yourself and be true in your application.
