Overview
It was working with mainly formatting excels and learning how the IT audits they do are carried out. It involved learning about how they do both IT audit and internal technology risk consulting. It was mainly being shown different doccuments by the more senior staff
Skills
I learned alot more about how to use excel along with reviewing doccuments in order to understand the process of how the job is done
Responsibilities
Not particularly, it was a very quite time in terms of work. As a result there wasnt a whole lot for anyone to do but it allowed me to be able to have more time to speak with more senior staff
Support & Guidance
I was given both a buddy (grad) and a conseller who was a manager. With the buddy we could ask any questions we had and the counciller we would discuss feedback we got from people we worked with along with how we were handling our work
Culture
It was very friendly with everyone working on the same shared office space. If i needed to ask a question i barely had to move so it made it much easier to do so as i didn't have to schedule a meeting i could just walk over and speak to them
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed it, the work culture was really good. Everybody seemed to be very open and willing to talk and just sit down and give you advice even if they were working in a completely different department
Yes
When you do the interview just be yourself. Don't think that in order for you to succeed everyone else has to fail. Especially in the assesment centre portion of the interview process, the people who were offered the job were the people who spoke and were expressive of their views without needing to find flaws in everyone else's opinion
