Overview
Working in project teams to help clients solve people-related problems and implement people-related solutions. Your day-to-day activities will vary depending on your project and mainly included: - Participating in both client and internal meetings - Conducting research and analysing data to develop commercially sound recommendations - Writing elements of reports, presentations and other deliverables - Completing project management tasks - Sharing your ideas and taking on real responsibility - Talking to people in different areas of the business to better understand what they do - Asking questions
Skills
- definitely developed my PowerPoint skills significantly past what i was sued to - i also had to flex a lot of my soft skills when dealing with clients and even my colleagues for example being proactive, curious and always ready to learn - it is also quite a fast pace environment where deliverables have to come out in a timely fashion so my time management definitely improved to allow me to get things done on time and also prioritize as needed
Responsibilities
well i think a month is a bit short to be given that a significant amount of responsibility especially because the first few weeks were reserved for training. With that being said i still think i received a good amount of work to do (not just filler work but impactful and useful work that my team and the client really appreciated). so overall i would say yes i received a decent amount of responsibility during my time
Support & Guidance
i received a lot of support from both my buddy and my councilor who were amazing both about the work i was doing and how to maneuver my internship outside of my project
Culture
everyone is super friendly and ready and willing to have a chat or help out with something
