    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Supporting the whole UK purchasing team on projects throughout the UK and Ireland. This way we can appoint suppliers for various crucial services within the business. We focus on indirect purchasing, so not parts for the cars, but rather other things such as Logistics, Media and Marketing.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes, I was given a lot of responsibility during my placement. I started with smaller, admin based tasks, but as I grew in confidence and started to learn more and understand the business more, I was able to undertake projects of my own and take responsibility from start to finish.

  • I received all of the support that i could have possibly asked for, everyone in the team was happy to help at any given moment, and there was not a day where i was not supported.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company culture is great, its a very relaxed working environment, and as long as you are getting your work done to the required standard, they are very happy for you to leave early for example. Everyone I have met this year is very welcoming and happy to help in any way they can. We are not treated just as 'interns' but instead full blown members of the company.
