    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • The role involved helping the audit team with client work and shadowing the team to gain an understanding of how the audit process takes place at PwC as well as the technology used. I also had to manage my time well as I worked on a social enterprise project with other interns. Outside of my daily work, there was an opportunity to get involved in community volunteering for a day.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I have developed upon my existing skills such as communication and collaboration through working with staff and my peers on both client work and the social enterprise project. I've learnt about how to use Aura software that PwC uses for its audit. I have also improved my time management as I had to work to important deadlines.

  • I would say learn as much as you can about the company values. See where you align with these values and come up with some examples where you have demonstrated these. Research the company and learn a few facts. Brush up on numerical and verbal reasoning for the tests and try and take mock interviews with friends, family or university careers team.
