Overview
Discuss with brands over email or video call to plan their quarterly or monthly exposure plans. Book in any exposure or cashback increases that a brand may want to run. Conduct meetings with clients to discuss performance and how we can best support their marketing aims.
Skills
Stakeholder management skills have improved from getting to meet and speak with various brands, networks and agencies. Presenting skills have really improved as well, I feel confident to conduct and lead a presentation to clients and colleagues. I have further developed my time managements and organisational skills.
Responsibilities
Yes - we have full responsibilities for the discussions with brands. I often have a manager in my client meetings, however this is more for support and I still conduct these myself. I have taken on various projects where I might work with another team member, but I am given lots of responsibility to manage my time and workload.
Support & Guidance
There was a great support system and lots of guidance from any within my team. I felt like I could reach out to my manager whenever I needed help with a project as well as any other senior members of the team. Everyone is really willing to give up their time to help you understand or broaden your knowledge.
Culture
The company culture is really positive and a great environment to work in. They prioritise people and are really helpful to reach out to if you are struggling with your workload. The culture is really fun and sociable and I felt very comfortable working here for the whole year.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed this year, I was given lots of opportunities to learn lots within this position and develop key skills to be used in the rest of my career. The culture is really friendly so I felt like I have been included and assimilated well into the team. It has broadened my views on digital marketing and affiliate marketing as an area, and inspired my to realise what I want to do after University.
Yes
Do your research on what the brand is and the industry as it is quite small. Yo don't have to understand exactly how everything works as you will learn on the job, but some knowledge beforehand always helps. Make sure to just be yourself, they value friendly, enthused people.
