Overview
I worked on the same level as new graduate joiners. Starting my job consisted of completing simple tasks on an audit but as I gained experience I began working on more complicated matters including field managing a couple of really small audits.
Skills
Placement students will study for the first two ICAEW accountancy exams.
Responsibilities
At the end of the placement I was given quite a lot of responsibility but I always felt that there was support when I was taking these steps.
Support & Guidance
There were bi-weekly catch-ups where I was able to discuss any issues I had encountered. I felt comfortable in the team I was in discussing issues I had.
Culture
Company culture was very intense. There are strict time expectations and overtime was generally expected.
Your Impressions
Overall I really liked the team I was in and generally enjoyed the work but it could be stressful at times.
Yes
