The Role
My placement was great. Throughout the year there has been equal amounts of training, projects and extra curricular activities that have been provided to make it thoroughly enjoyable!
The culture at GSK is great and every employee is valued equally which is great!
The learning culture at GSK is fantastic and help is always at hand when you need it, all you have to do is ask :).
I like to busy on a daily basis and I was provided with a good number of projects so there was not a time where I was sitting at my desk thinking about what to do which was great.
Throughout the year I was given as much responsibility as I wanted and my manager ensured that I had the resources to balance every project that I was given.
Outside day to day projects I received formal training as well as mentoring by other gradautes which is always useful when you start your professional career.
The Company
The atmosphere was great and there are a lot of interesting people to talk to on a daily basis so you never get bored :).
The placement was organised very well. There has not been a time where I did not want to be here or thought that aspects are organised poorly.
I got sponsorship for a professional project management qualification. There are also plenty of e-learning modules which you can sit to improve your core/soft skills.

The Culture
Yes, this was really good.
I was sharing with 3 other placement students from GSK so it was not too bad. However, if you do want a studio flat they do get expensive.
The night life was not too bad. However, if you really want to enjoy yourself you can get the picadilly line in to Central London which takes 30 minutes.
Yes, there are plenty of opportunities at GSK to do this. The company also encourage you to take part in extra curricular activities.
