Responsibilities
Yes, responsibility far exceeded what I was expecting. Developing trust with colleagues resulted in me taking on projects and tasks that were akin to full time employee work.
Support & Guidance
Mentor/buddy program meant that I had a POC who I could confine in with any issue both technical and non-technical. Super knowledgeable across the entire business - even areas they have no real exposure to. All employees super helpful and often found them dropping their current task to support if I reached out.
Culture
Inclusive and relaxed. Mental well-being prioritised. Encouraged to take breaks for ergonomic and societal reasons. Hybrid work environment which has resulted in the office being sparsely populated. Some interns left with minimal face-to-face contact time with colleagues.
Your Impressions
Enjoyed it a lot, responsibility exceeded expectations, good quality of work, nice office environment and culture, lots of CSR opportunities, network of interns made the integration and social experience simpler
Yes
At least from an intern perspective - it is what you make of it. By default, some interns are busier and have a greater workload than others. But there is always more work available upon request. Encouraged opportunities to try/sample different teams and BUs within the company. It is a friendly corporate environment which welcomes anyone and everyone.
