Overview
Daily I complete sales reports and fulfill stock requests for various teams or agencies. My role also centres heavily around supporting the Senior Marketing Manager with his projects
Skills
At the start we received training courses on a variety of programmes and skills which started my placement smoothly. The handover month at the start as well really helped initially develop the skills needed to succeed in the role.
Responsibilities
I own the sample stock programme and am solely responsible for fulfilling stock requests for marketing projects. I also manage the sales reports for the category and distribute to senior members globally. Overtime I was given more responsibility and managed projects on behalf of my manager
Support & Guidance
The handover period with the previous student gave me a lot of guidance initially and the handover guide i inherited helped me in my first few weeks alone. My manager and team members always make time for my questions and are very inclusive about inviting me to meetings and projects
Culture
My team was smaller which meant we worked closely together on multiple projects which enhanced our relationships. The broader company is very friendly and everyone looks out for the students
Your Impressions
Despite having some routine tasks, my role varied a lot. I was balancing multiple projects and tasks at once meaning I always had something new on the go and things to prepare for. I very rarely got bored.
Yes
They receive lots of applications so take the time to write a cover letter expressing what about the company intrigues you or if a particular category interests you.
