Overview
During the two day programme we had the opportunity to hear from experts in their field, and ask questions to learn about life at WTW and the different teams within the company. In addition, there were interactive sessions that we participated in, that helped us learn how to be a better applicant and understand the values of the company.
Skills
During the programme I learnt how to be a better applicant as there were many tips given to help you during the interview stages of jobs. Not only this but advice was given on how to make yourself a great employee. This was achieved through sessions on, personal brand and active listening. Due to both of these factors I now feel much more confident that I could achieve success in a job application process.
Business Insight
There was a virtual careers fair where I had the opportunity in small groups of around five to talk to individuals that were working in various fields. This gave me a valuable insight into the different teams and has helped me to know which team I want to apply for an internship with. There is also going to be a secondary career fair after the programme to learn more about the different areas.
Culture
The culture was one of inclusion and care for its employees which we could see through the various support groups that they had in the company such as, LGBTQ+ group , menopause support, young starter support and many more. I could also see the companies commitment to inclusion throughout the programme.
Your Impressions
I greatly enjoyed the insight event, and it has made me want to work for WTW in the future.
Yes
I would advise them to be themselves, and to relax as that is the only way you will be able to truthfully convey who you are.
