Overview
On a day-to-day basis, you will be shadowing client meetings, as well as, being assigned tasks by your team to complete, such as: working on PwC softwares, or research projects to present your findings to the team. You will also being working on a purpose challenge with a charity, with other interns, to produce a presentation to aid the company/charity, in which you will present towards the end of the internship. You will also be assigned a buddy and a career coach
Skills
During the internship, I learnt how to use PwC softwares through the training in the first week and with help from the team. I also developed my presentation skills, through working with other interns in the purpose challenge and the interns on my team. You will also be able to build on your team working skills. You can develop general skills, such as: taking initiative to reaching out to people to grow connections and booking meetings
Responsibilities
We were given responsibility of completing client work that would actually contribute to the final audit project, but we were also given guidance and support in completing work.
Support & Guidance
A lot of support and guidance, we were assigned a buddy and a career coach and the team was also very open to helping or scheduling meetings to chat
Culture
The company culture is great, everyone is very personable and friendly, even as an intern, you will very much a part of the company
Your Impressions
The internship was very enjoyable, the culture at PwC makes it very easy to feel at place, and we had a lot to learn, and able to meet new people and grow connections, as well as learn about the work done at PwC and contributing to a real final product with real companies.
