Overview
As an intern, I shadow UX designers on their up and coming proposals. I have also been tasked with an internship project, which means I get involved in moderated and unmoderated research.
Skills
A new skill I have learnt is how to carry out professional, unbiased research to help the team with new app designs that need releasing. This will help me in the future with reports that require both quantitative and qualitative data.
Responsibilities
As an intern of only 8 weeks I wasn't given a great deal of responsibility, I supported my line managers designs and aided the research for these desgins. I was tasked with a research project to be presented to the whole UK team of around 200 people which was my main responsibility throughout my internship.
Support & Guidance
My line manager supported me throughout. Everyday he would make time to guide me if I was unsure on anything
Culture
The company culture is all about diversity and equality which is something very important to me. Work/life balance was also really good, I rarely worked beyond 17:30 and the office was super casual.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my placement, being able to be part of a team which I had 0 knowledge of beforehand to come out with solid design and research knowledge was amazing.
