Overview
This was a two-day programme: The first day was more focused on introductions, time management, stress management and how it is like to work in Llyods Banking Group and its subsidiaries. The second day more broadly focused on real life case studies and group activities to make us learn more about team work and problem solving and finally the event ended with the speaker introducing us to the graduate schemes and apprenticeships.
Skills
I would say the programme help me improve my communication skills and problem solving skills that are essential in the banking sector.
Business Insight
They gave us a good understanding about their business and the roles they had to offer.
Culture
By listening to their talks, I could get a fair idea that the company is trying its best to maintain diversity and inclusivity with one commitment being to make 50% of all senior leadership as women by 2030, which is something quite exceptional and uncommon for other major banks.
Your Impressions
I would say I did enjoy the insight programme...it was quite useful and informative.
Yes
Do look out for their online assessments and their interview questions as they might get a bit tricky.
