Overview
Provide general support to the team, whether that be through inputting data into a spreadsheet or through research. Occasionally brought along to site viewings with clients.
Skills
Communication on the phone. Listening to colleagues on the phone interact with clients or people from other companies has greatly improved my ability to do the same.
Responsibilities
I was given independence to get on with tasks as I saw fit without my hand being held. This allowed me to improve my own approach to different tasks.
Support & Guidance
Significant amount. Everyone in the team was incredibly friendly and helpful. Answered all of my questions without judgement.
Culture
Savills is very friendly and open. I think that the open plan office space helps with this as you have directors sitting right next to you, allowing you to feel more open and free to talk to them.
Your Impressions
I definitely enjoyed this internship and will try to come back around Christmas and Easter breaks.
Yes
Definitely talk to as many people as possible. Both at the assessment centre and at the summer scheme itself. But also be yourself, it is very obvious when someone is in 'networking mode'.
