The Role
I didn't really enjoy the work I was doing, it was a struggle to be honest. I didn't appreciate my lab atmosphere.
With the other industrial placement student in my lab I would say like a family, with my supervisor I would say like a friend but with the other permanents in my lab it's more like a stranger.
I had a good relationship with my supervisor, he has always been there for me to give me the best guidance ever!
I had periods very busy and other periods really boring.
I had very difficult chemistry so it was quite difficult to give a lot of responsibilities ie. proper synthesis control.
I developed a lot of skills, first in chemistry then in English in my pharmaceutical industry knowledge, for sure this placement has been useful !!
The Company
As i said earlier the atmosphere in lab was pretty bad, competition between chemists, and bad management has created a bad atmosphere into the lab
because of the bad management in my lab my overall lab has not been well established which made my placement more difficult.
the company invest a lot of time to train you and make sure that we were happy being here and enjoying our placement.
Flexi Time

Staff Sales/Staff Shop
With the economic crisis I think that employment chances are low.
The Culture
yes we had lot of good time between the placement students and some colleagues.
the cost of living was acceptable
London was close to Stevenage so the nightlife was quite good !
