Overview
I joined a team working on a client's audit, and got to experience work both in the office and on client site. I was given tasks to complete to work towards the teams' completion of the client's audit. There was also a separate project for interns to work on where I got the chance to lead a team and present work.
Skills
I have learnt what it is like to be an auditor, and developed existing data analysis skills, communication skills, presentation skills and teamwork skills.
Business Insight
I was able to gain a lot of insight into how PwC operates as a business which has been really useful. I also have a good understanding of all roles available at PwC, and how they progress into higher grades. It was great to be able to meet others from different roles and grades at networking events.
Culture
Everyone works very hard at PwC, but there are also lots of socials and more relaxed days. For example, they have an annual sports day which I had the pleasure of taking part in. PwC also has frequent volunteering days when everyone stops work and goes to volunteer for a day to help the local community.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my internship, and loved getting to know other employees and gaining an understanding of the company.
