    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Working on various engagements (projects) ranging from scoring companies on how comprehensive their sustainability reporting is, to researching new sustainability initiatives to recommend to clients or contributing on tasks required to pitch a new initiative. Each day is different and groups of interns rotate between different projects and teams to gain exposure to the huge variety of services PwC offer. Also lots of networking opportunities and being randomly assigned a team member to meet.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Interns are in control of how many responsibilities they choose to take on. To begin with you are assigned tasks and rotations, however interns have freedom to request to work on projects or reach out to people. Interns expected to manage their own time and are responsible for ensuring deadlines are met and certain tasks are completed, but open communication with the team you work with is encouraged and they are understanding towards interns.

  • Be your authentic self when applying as anything too forced comes across unnatural - they are looking for genuine, passionate people that are enthusiastic and confident. Do your research on the company and its recent initiatives and these will be good to drop in to your answers. Not expecting you to know everything about the PwC and the industry but showing interest and some knowledge helps.
