Overview
As a PM I help communicate between the development team and the client to organise and oversee the development and manage the clients expectations of the project As a developer i have been given website projects to work on that follow a waterfall and agile hybrid methodology where my communications are directly with the PM on that project.
Skills
My soft skills such as communication and autonomy have improved drastically as i have become more confident with how Pfizer Digital functions whilst completing my PM work. My understanding of the project lifecycle has also increased dramatically as i have been involved in every stage of a projects creation and delivery as a PM and developer
Responsibilities
I am given a huge amount of responsibility as at this point I handle all of my projects myself without supervision unless i ask for it
Support & Guidance
At the start i received a lot of support to help get myself up to date with the platforms and how Pfizer works, as time went on the supervision dwindled but i can still ask my manager and team any questions i dont know the answers to.
Culture
It is very comfortable and accommodating as they will prioritise your wellbeing throughout the placement
Your Impressions
I have enjoyed the work and the team atmosphere whilst working here even though a lot of it has been remote.
Yes
Dont lie and exaggerate the truth in your interviews it is easily caught out. Also get stuck in with all of the extra opportunities they offer
