Overview
This was different everyday. Generally, I would a catch up with team member to assess my capacity for the day and then make a start on the tasks I had. I was able to be introduced to other team members from London and Cardiff so I would calls throughout the days and I also had meetings with the other interns about their progress of our project.
Skills
Because I was vocal about my interests I was able develop a lot of skills during my time with PwC like; communication, relationship building, leadership and creativity. I was also able to learn new skills like; adaptability, commercial awareness, business etiquette and independence.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was given the opportunity to assist with a piece of work for a client engagement.
Support & Guidance
I was given all the support I needed. If I needed more I felt comfortable to ask as everyone was always happy to help but at the same time I did not feel that I was constantly being watched. It was a good balance.
Culture
Even though the Belfast office is one of the largest offices PwC has, there is still a feeling of community, everyone is very friendly.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my internship so much that I would love for it to have been longer.
Yes
The interview process seems long but it is so worth it. There are a lot of steps but the best way to approach it is by being yourself, they are not trying to catch you out.
