Overview
Daily tasks involved team meetings, client interactions, completing assigned tasks and training tasks. I was involved a lot with the team given I was only part of it for a short amount of time, and felt as though I could always as questions if there was anything I was unsure about.
Skills
I have learnt about the audit softwares used by PwC, developed my time management and networking skills, and improved on my excel ability.
Business Insight
It was interesting to be given the opportunity to network with employees at PwC from every level of the roles, including partners and level one associates. This provided insight on how the career ladder works within PwC, as well as unique views on the secondments available within a career at PwC and how employees are assessed.
Culture
The atmosphere within the office was amazing, no matter who you saw everyone smiled. There were free hot drinks and fruit available everyday, as well as daily food discounts to encourage people to work more days in the office. This is tremendously effective as the office was lively and full on most days, enabling in person employee relationships to thrive.
Your Impressions
This insight was everything that I expected it to be, it enabled me to improve my audit skills, build on networking and gain a specific insight into PwC as a company, with me learning especially about their commitment to giving back to the community, e.g., my volunteer day at a conservation centre and a social enterprise project.
