Overview
I would be assigned different activities on the audit file and then try to complete them before asking for help from who I was shadowing. Sometimes this would require me completing excel documents or requesting further information from the client.
Skills
I think I have learnt how to act in a professional environment as well as what skills will be useful if I choose to pursue this after graduation.
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of independence and responsibility as I would prepare some tasks all by myself and then just have them reviewed by someone else. I was encouraged by my team to talk in client meetings as well.
Support & Guidance
A lot, there was a career coach and a buddy that I could ask anything. In addition, the teams I was assigned to were very helpful and would repeat answers to questions when needed.
Culture
I felt more than just an intern and welcomed by everyone I met. No one made me feel like a burden for asking so many questions.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed it to the point I want to accept the graduate role they have offered me.
Yes
Don't try to be someone you're not. Just do your best during the application and come across as who you actually are because you don't want to set false expectations.
