Responsibilities
Yes - Intel gives full-time roles to interns. I was given the same role as graduates in my team.
Support & Guidance
Intel internships have an overlap with the previous year - there is a month to learn and take over the role from the previous intern. Every intern also has an on-the-job-coach and a buddy to get help settle into the role. Frequent 1:1 with my manager and opportunities to network with managers from other teams.
Culture
Culture and inclusivity is very important to the company. People are friendly and ready to help with what they can.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my placement, I liked my role and my team was very nice and social, which made my transition easier. Lots of support from people, opportunities to do gigs and shadow other people. People treat interns as normal employees and give a lot of responsibilities.
Yes
Refresh your excel skills before the assessment. Mention culture and inclusivity. Do research about the company. Be yourself and ask lots of questions!
