Overview
Checking customers into vehicles, return process of vehicles and closing down contracts, delivering and collecting from businesses, maintaining and creating relationships with new and existing businesses, getting insurance and breakdown customers into hire, maintaining and creating relationships with body shops and dealerships in the area

Responsibilities
I was given responsibilities towards different areas of the business to be in charge of for my branch and ensure we are increasing profitability and efficiency.
Support & Guidance
From head office and my area manager, the support I received was incredible. My area manager would go above and beyond for me, time and time again. The training days from the talent specialist would focus on key aspect of the business and guide you how to effectively excel in those areas. However, personally the guidance I received from my branch could have been better if they were more organised and productive.
Culture
As a wider company, the atmosphere is positive and encouraging of progression. In terms of day to day at the branch, it can be a hit or miss. Some days are hard than others and we end up finishing later than anticipated. Although my area manager was always appreciative, I felt like it became an expectation from the branch that it was acceptable.
Your Impressions
The skills, the experience and the relationship I built is something I will value and cherish forever. Overall I would say I enjoyed my placement as it taught me the importance of impacting a business on the front end and how to utilise the opportunities presented to me to benefit the company. The downsides would include the staying late and to have more engagement from branch managers and assistants in regards to training
