Overview
My role is based in GTRF (global trade and receivable finance) Client Service team. The main task is to help solve the queries customers have regarding their HSBC products. As an intern with limited access, I'm much involved in admin stuff, such as sorting the inbox and summarizing data.
Skills
I learned a lot on how bank works as a whole and how GTRF products serve the clients. My interpersonal skills and time management also got further developed.
Responsibilities
I was given full responsibility on a few individual tasks, but when it comes to those involving restricted customer information, I had limited access which is also understandable.
Support & Guidance
Everyone I met was super supportive. Guidance was always provided and no matter what I was confused about, I could always find someone to help me out.
Culture
Open minded, respect new ideas and supportive.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my placement. My learning curve has been really steep for the past few weeks. If I can have to chance to come back, I will be more than delighted to rejoin the team.
Yes
Make full use of the resources HSBC provides, whether it's the learning material or people you can connect with and for sure you will enjoy this unforgettable journey.
