Overview
Overview of the role: Being involved in varied and exciting projects giving me the opportunity to develop my capabilities. Day-to-day tasks include: Posting job ads on LinkedIn, Shortlisting LinkedIn applicants, Arranging interviews. Onboarding new employees, Setting up new starters on Renault systems and Recruiting the next intern cohort
Skills
I have learnt to prioritising workload though organisation, Interpersonal skills, developed my knowledge of systems such as like e-days, Workday, Teams, Outlook and Sharepoint (intranet).
Responsibilities
From the start of my placement I was given responsibility and trusted with independent project ownership.
Support & Guidance
I receviced lots of support and guidance. I had consistant calls with my line manager to catch up and help prioritise all my tasks. Also, I was in constant contact with the HRBPs who gave me support and guidance.
Culture
The company culture is very friendly and inclusive. I had the opportunity to be a part of the Diversity and Inclusion group and felt involved in key decision making. Everyone makes an effort to get to know you and the interns were treated like normal members of staff. I particularly enjoyed socialising with my colleagues outside of work hours.
Your Impressions
I loved my placement and would strongly recommend a placement year at Renault. I felt a real sense of belonging and support thanks to all the employees and other trainees. It was a brilliant experience to learn first hand about Human Resources in one of the largest and most prestigious automotive manufacturers in the world.
