    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • On a daily basis I would have a catch up with my manager for 15-30min, to catch up and go through any issues I was having regarding my placement project. I would then join team meetings called stand-ups where everyone explains what they're working on for the day/week/sprint. Following this I would work on the 3 things I mentioned below. Most days I would join internship events where leaders of different parts of the bank share what they do and how they got where they are. I would also join coffee clubs to meet people from different parts of the bank. You could also join any activities/events that the bank is hosting. I joined a Hackathon on designing our own functional API. Work: 1. Working on a placement project with my assigned team: I was working on automising their conversation data processing pipelines 2. Working on an internship business project: Hyper-personalising customers banking experience 3. Self-led learning: using their Data Academy and Data Camp learning resources to learn essential software skills
