Overview
Supporting colleagues on various different audits. Working on a multitude of companies. Invoice matching/ticking. Creating leadsheets. Talking with clients, talking through payroll information and IT information (observing). Responding to clients on inflo. Making group reporting documents.
Skills
The use of APT. Developed my excel skills. Gained more audit specific skills and information.
Responsibilities
There were numerous times were I was trusted to speak and observe clients on my own when on site or over zoom.
Support & Guidance
Varies - some managers are busier than others so their time to support you may be more restricted. Everybody is usually happy to help if asked.
Culture
General atmosphere was great, everyone friendly and makes you welcomed. Team environment.
Your Impressions
The first training week was great. Most of the remaining 5 weeks were great, although there were times when it felt slow due to not being set much work or struggling with work waiting for managers to help.
Yes
Ask questions. Ask for help, people are more than willing. Accounting degree doesn't necessarily relate to the basic jobs which you're doing as a starter. Get involved.
