Overview
My role involves working hand-on on the projects in the lab, writing instructions, test records or test reports and some analysis of the data recorded
Skills
Heavily developed my data analysis skills, developed report writing skills and learnt how to conduct Modal Analysis.
Responsibilities
Some responsibility with writing one formal report and conduct my own project for half the placement, but cannot be fully responsible for testing as I wouldn't manage to get signed off as sufficiently capable for the placement.
Support & Guidance
Lots of support from line managers and other members of the team. I had a buddy assigned to me to help with how to navigate the company. I had a technical coordinator with regular weekly meeting to catch up on my work progress and find me more useful work to be doing.
Culture
Really friendly, made me feel included in the team right from the start. able to talk to high level engineers about problems freely to get their advice. Other placement students available to chat to and get friendly with.

I really enjoyed my placement, felt valued in my role and that I was bringing value to the business. Good supportive team to help me and lots of interesting projects to get involved in
