Overview
Greet customers and open their reservations while explaining the rental process. Talk them through their options while renting in terms of fuel and insurance. Taking calls and ringing customers to check in on them before during and after the rental. Trying to sell our protections and other additional products. Closing off tickets when customers return and making sure they are completely satisfied with their experience.
Skills
I have learnt a lot about Customer service and how to deal with customers that aren’t completely satisfied. My communication skills have improved drastically also
Responsibilities
Yes , after the first couple of weeks of basic training work gets delegated and it’s your responsibility to get it done.
Support & Guidance
I could always ask my colleagues or boss for help and they would have no issue sitting down with me and talking me through it. I could email employees from other branches or departments and ask them questions about their roles or for help and it was never an issue
Culture
The company culture is very inclusive and they organise many philanthropy events and get involved in lots of community fundraisers and charity events
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my placement and will be staying on working part time while I finish my degree.
Yes
I would say to try a mix of airport work and home city work to get a feel for both and to take there time through the stages
