Overview
I was involved in a team related to financing. I was given quite a lot of responsability and independence to do what I felt correct. Even managed to own some parts of the project and had multiple meetings per day. Multiple times a week we had webinars and informative sessions that touched a wide variety of topics.
Skills
I developed a lot of presentation and communication skills as well as stakeholder management.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was given quite a lot of responsability, my team trusted in my abilities.
Support & Guidance
A lot, interns have 2 different types of graduate mentors as well as a placement manager. Help is provided anytime is needed.
Culture
Very relaxed and the culture is very open. Everyone is very nice and approachable without depending on their level of seniority.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed it, learnt a lot, got good exposure to the industry and met some very smart and interesting people.
Yes
Be your authentic self and have an open mind, it is something that HSBC really values.
