Overview
I would complete assigned tasks involving assessing a client's accounts. Typically this would be lead schedules or an early review of the accounts document. I'd have to attend relevant meetings with the team and/or client. I also had the opportunity to work at Canary Wharf, where a client is based, for a few days.
Skills
Definitely, I have a much more solid understanding of what goes into an audit, and my excel proficiency has improved massively.
Responsibilities
Yes, all completed work contributed to helping actual clients, and I was able to work with one client in person for an extended period.
Support & Guidance
I was always encouraged to ask questions were needed, and I was always given help if I asked. I was usually assigned to very helpful managers who clearly showed me what was expected of me.
Culture
Incredibly friendly. I felt very comfortable with all of the employees I worked with and was encouraged to attend socials.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my internship and had very few 'bad' days. The work was engaging and the people were excellent.
