Overview
As an analyst intern at Lazard in London, my key responsibilities involve working closely with both junior and senior members of the team on multiple different projects simultaneously and providing important support to deliver strategic financial advice and solutions to clients. Day to day responsibilities will generally include financial and statistical analyses, company and industry sector research, creation of client presentations and marketing materials, ad-hoc administration and project work
Skills
During my Lazard internship, I gained hard skills like financial modeling, valuation techniques, and industry analysis, while enhancing soft skills such as communication, time management, and multitasking. This experience significantly contributed to my professional growth in investment banking.
Responsibilities
Yes. My personal highlight on placement was closing a deal without any other analysts staffed on the project. This was my key goal set at the start of my placement and I am very grateful to have been given a greater level of responsibility.
Support & Guidance
I was given a great level of support and guidance during my placement at Lazard from both my team and HR. Additionally, initiatives such as mentoring circles, random coffee pairings and the buddy system means that there is always support and guidance available.
Culture
The company culture at Lazard was friendly and social, fostering open communication among all team members, including senior personnel. This inclusive atmosphere promoted collaboration, learning, and growth, making it an enjoyable and enriching work environment for everyone involved.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at Lazard and highly recommend it to anyone interested. The engaging work, supportive team, and opportunities for growth made the experience truly rewarding, providing invaluable insights into the industry.
