Overview
Working with the companies database, and writing SQL queries. Then using Power BI to display the data through a dashboard which will be used by the company to cut down a 2 hour daily task. Attending daily stand ups and weekly Retrospectives, Demos and Sprint planning. Attending dozens of meetings from speakers within the company.
Skills
Learnt to use Power BI, exposed to SQL. Used Confluence and Jira for team organisation and planning which had previously never heard of. Also took on the scrum master role.
Responsibilities
Given access to database with client information. Scrum master role consisted of organising the team and liaising with managers/ other team members.
Support & Guidance
Lots of support, manager were very willing to help and very supportive. Always had access to help. Everyone in the company was always wiling to put time aside for the interns- never felt like I was intruding or taking up too much time.
Culture
Very good company culture, everyone was very friendly and supportive. Fell into place within the team right away.
