Overview
Day to day tasks generally involved the shadowing of members of the team, arranging and meeting with members within the wider finance department. Given a number of different projects to complete.
Skills
Developed Skills in Presenting, PowerBI, Excel, Teamwork, and gained commercial industry knowledge.
Responsibilities
I was given an important project in order to complete, that the rest of the team was dependant on as it was laying the foundations for a future project.
Support & Guidance
Regular support and drop in sessions, and members within the team would always make time to help out.
Culture
Company culture was very relaxed and welcoming, but professional at the same time. There was a number of different diversity and inclusion networks that you were able to get involved with during your time on the internship.
Your Impressions
I had a really great time on my placement, struck a fine balance between being given real responsibility to contribute to meaningful projects, but never once felt I was being overstretched. The rest of the intern cohort were really easy to get along with which contributed to my experience also.
