Overview
Working on a statistical model, writing lots of code and experiments. Various meetings
Skills
Lots of python coding skills, lots of practice with BigQuery (SQL) which I had never used before coming here.
Responsibilities
Full control over the project I was working on. I could explore pretty much anything I thought was a good addition and aligned with the project goals
Support & Guidance
Regular meetings with my managers where I got feedback and input on the work I was doing. There was no formal training at all on the internship - just given a project to work on and learned on the job although it was easy to ask for help
Culture
All the people were incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. Lots of work events, socials and other fun things going on. Lots of people seem to really like working here
Your Impressions
I had a very fun time and learnt a lot from it. I might have liked a bit more structured training especially at the start of the internship, but I worked on an interesting project and learnt a lot from the other people on the team
Yes
Its a friendly place, go for it
