Overview
During my internship at ISB, my role primarily entailed assisting Relationships Directors and Managers in managing international subsidiary clients. Day-to-day, I participated in client meetings, drafted call reports, and delved into corporate financial analysis for credit applications. Collaborating across teams such as GPS or GTRF, I explored various financial products and engaged in sustainability initiatives. This multifaceted role offered a comprehensive insights into the world of commercial banking and subsidiary management.
Skills
This internship honed my analytical skills, especially in corporate financial analysis. I also developed a deeper understanding of international banking products and sustainable banking practices. Networking with various teams, grads and interns fostered my collaborative skills and allowed me to see the interconnectedness within the banking sector.
Responsibilities
Yes! From attending client meetings to contributing to credit analyses and sustainability projects, I was given tasks that directly impacted team projects and goals. My input was valued, and I was encouraged to engage deeply with each assignment, further enhancing my learning and growth.
Support & Guidance
I received constant support and guidance through regular check-in and feedback sessions with my placement manager, grad buddy and on-program manager, and mentorship from colleagues ensured I was well-guided throughout my journey. This fostered both personal and professional growth for me.

The culture was collaborative and inclusive with an emphasis placed on teamwork, innovation, and fostering a growth mindset. The atmosphere was welcoming, making it easy to seek assistance and learn from others.
