Overview
Origination of debt instruments for SSA clients. Daily tasks include creating pitch books, excel analysis, daily market updates and assisting with other client needs
Skills
Developed: time management, personal communication, information synthesis Learnt: Market context, movement of rates enviroment, macro effects in bond issuances
Responsibilities
There was a good amount of responsibility, lots of the work I did was provided to clients, I drafted daily updates that went to a distribution list, I was able to listen in on a lot of client calls
Support & Guidance
I was well guided, my manger provided support and and many learning opportunities. I was guided well through my final presentation and it's layout
Culture
It is a stressful industry at times but the company culture is good. There is opportunity for you to be yourself

I enjoyed my placement a lot. I think it was different in some ways to my expectations but it was a very worthwhile experience overall

If you're passionate, it shows. Just put your all into the process and if you have passion you will be fine
