Overview
My role is to provide assurance to the bank by verifying the integrity of the controls set by the bank to mitigate risk. This often leads to testing the design and operating effectiveness of each control and reporting any findings to the associated stakeholder, which then needs to be validated and reconciled.
Skills
I have learnt how to network, manage time between meetings and work and balancing learning opportunities.
Responsibilities
Yes I was responsible for setting up a lot of the groundwork used in stakeholder meetings, without this, stakeholder meetings would be unstructured.
Support & Guidance
I was extremely well support, everyone I spoke to whether higher management or not was more than happy to take the time out of their day to sit down and answer any questions I had about the job or my career in general.
Culture
Company culture was amazing, feels like everyone is invested in seeing you grow and develop. Everyone is very open and friendly.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my internship, I was given abundant opportunity to develop myself both as a person and an employee. Everyone was friendly and supported and offered valuable advice for my career and job.
